The present situation of eco-friendly bioethanol VS. cassava industry in Thailand as well as in Asia will be reported regularly. The list of companies concerning to cassava processing and products will be also provided for establishing our global network of cassava people around the world.

Starch Update 2007 : The 4th International Conference on Starch Technology
November 6-7, 2007Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand
It is unequivocally that starch has been of immense value to human lives as a vital source of energy and the global environment as a renewable and environmentally friendly substance. Besides, as a versatile raw material, starch has been used in a variety of industrial applications and generates great impacts to the world’s economics. A positive and continuous growth of the starch industry is further promoted by the technological development with a strong effort of scientists, technologists and engineers.As a result of a significant role of science and technology on improving the starch industry, the International Conference on Starch Technology “Starch Update” has been held since 2001 with a lot of interest from Thai and oversea participants. In addition, this conference has been organized with well-cooperative partners between scientists and businessmen, government agencies and industrial sectors and national and international institutes and being, in part, as an important key for successfully strengthening research capability and industrial competitiveness of starch industry.
